AI in Dynamic Tours: Frequently Asked Questions

 

This article provides an overview of the artificial intelligence (AI) utilized within the Dynamic Tours feature, addressing common questions regarding data handling, security, and privacy.

  1. What AI model or AI models are being used?
    • We use OpenAI's GPT-4o and o4-Mini models for processing images.
  2. What types of data will the AI access, process, and store?
    • The AI accesses and processes images from timestamps in Dynamic Tour videos. The encoding of the image is stored within OpenAI's system for 30 days for log retention purposes and is then permanently deleted.
  3. How is data collected by the AI, and what are the sources?
    • Image data is collected by the AI via a secure HTTPS connection using OpenAI's platform APIs. The source of this data is the images uploaded for Dynamic Tours.
  4. What is the purpose of collecting and processing this data?
    • The purpose of processing the image data is to enable the AI to understand the content of the image and infer the appropriate call-out text for the dynamic tour.
  5. How is data secured in transit and at rest?
    • Data is secured in transit using HTTPS encryption. While at rest, the data resides within OpenAI's secure infrastructure for a 30-day period before it is deleted.
  6. Do you have a clear, comprehensive privacy policy for your AI capabilities?
    • All AI-powered features, including Dynamic Tours, are covered under our current Master Service Agreement (MSA). Additionally, we have a specific beta agreement that addresses our AI capabilities for beta programs.
  7. How much information, if any, is captured by OpenAI during AI-based tour labeling.
    • The image itself it subject to a 30 day data retention policy. We do not purposely extract first name and last name, or other PII, so sensitive text wouldn’t live in openAI’s system but the image of it would, but other than that all callout text extracted from the image would be subject to the same policy.
